​Q: What is the schedule for Tuesday Sweeps and monthly Tournaments?

A: Tuesday Sweeps are scheduled for Tuesday mornings starting at 7:30 am and the monthly Tournaments will be played on the 3rd Sunday of each month starting at 7:30 am. Both are subject to conflicts with holidays and previously scheduled events at the Crossings.

 

Q: When will the first Tuesday Sweeps and Sunday Tournaments be held?

A: The first Tuesday Sweeps is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3rd, and the first Sunday Tournament is scheduled for February 15th.

 

Q: How do I sign up / register to play in the events?

A: The club will establish a set registration schedule for Tuesday Sweeps. For example, online registration will be open starting at 7:00pm on the Monday that falls 8 days before the date of play. This gives everyone an equal chance to get a tee time. More details to follow.

 

Q: Can I sign up a foursome or must each player sign up individually? 

A: TBD

 

Q: Do I need an established GHIN/Index to participate in the events?

A: Yes, you must have an established Index/Handicap to participate. 

 

Q: I belong to another golf club and already paid the SCGA dues. Do I need to pay them again as part of the membership fee when joining the Crossing Golf Club?

A: Yes. Many golfers in Southern California are members of multiple golf clubs. SCGA offers discounts to golfers who are members of multiple clubs. You can get a partial rebate by following the steps indicated here.

At the time of renewal, members may choose to discontinue their memberships in other golf clubs, along with their associated SCGA fees, and renew exclusively with The Crossings Golf Club.

Q: Will everyone who attempts to register be able to play?

A: There will be a limited number of tee times available, so everyone is not guaranteed a spot when they attempt to sign up. However, we expect to add more tee times as the club becomes more established and the membership grows.

Q: Do I have to be a member of JC to join the Crossings Golf Club?

A: No, but it is highly recommended due to all the benefits JC provides.

 

Q: How much are greens fees for the Tuesday Sweeps and Sunday Tournaments?

A: Players will pay their regular green fees at the pro shop when they check-in the day of the event. (Carlsbad Resident, Carlsbad Resident Senior, JC Member, Non- Resident).

 

Q: Is there an entry fee for each of the events?

A: Yes. $20 per player for the Tuesday Sweeps and $30 per player for Sunday tournaments.

 

Q: If I signed up for one of the events, am I required to pay the entry fee?

A: Yes. All players must pay the entry fee to compete in the event. You will be billed electronically during the on-line registration process for that event.

 

Q: What will the format be for the Sweeps and Tournaments?

A: We will have a variety of different formats that are fun and competitive such as low gross, low net, two-person shamble, etc. Events will also include payouts for skins and closest to the pin on par 3s. We will try to schedule as many events as possible that include individual scoring.

Q: How much of the entry fee is distributed back to the players?

A: 100% of the total entry fees are distributed back to the players via scrip in The Crossings Pro Shop. Every club member will have a membership card that is held in the Pro Shop. Individual player winnings will be forwarded to the Pro Shop at Crossings after each event. They will in-turn place scrip into the individual accounts of each of the winning players.

 

Q: How do I redeem my winnings?

A: Simply go to the Pro Shop, ask for your membership card, and use it to purchase green fees, merchandise, or food and beverage. When you are finished, return your membership card to the staff in the Pro Shop.

Q: Is there a minimum age required to join the Crossings Golf Club?

A: Yes, minimum is 19 years of age.
